How the Advocacy Program Works

1. Schedule Your Appointment
   Start by scheduling a visit with a contracted Sun Health & Dental physician.
2. Get a Prescription
   During your appointment, the physician will evaluate your needs and prescribe the necessary medication.
3. Contact a Rx Advocate
   Once you have your prescription, contact our office to speak with an Rx Advocate. They’ll help identify the best program available for your specific medication.
4. We Handle the Paperwork
   Our team collects all required information and submits the application to the pharmaceutical company on your behalf.
5. Coordination with Your Doctor
   We coordinate with your prescribing healthcare professional to gather any additional details or signatures needed to complete the application.
6. Submit and Track Your Application
   After submitting the completed application to the pharmaceutical manufacturer, we monitor its progress to keep you informed every step of the way.
7. Ongoing Support
   Once your application is approved, we take care of managing refills and renewals, ensuring you always have access to your medication without interruption.

The process behind the Advocacy Program:

All a member needs to do is to schedule an appointment with a contracted Sun Health & Dental physician.  The physician needs to prescribe the medication and once the prescription has been given, the member needs to contact our office and speak to a Rx Advocate to identify the program specific for the medication that they have been prescribed. Our staff will collect all required information and submit the application to the pharmaceutical company.

We then contact the healthcare professional who has prescribed the medication and coordinate and collect any additional information and signatures that may be required to complete the application. We will then submit the completed application and forms to the pharmaceutical manufacturer on your behalf and track its progress.

Once your application has been approved, we handle all work associated with managing refills and renewals to ensure that you never go without medication.
